Very nice example of an Indonesian Wayang Kunitz Shadow puppet.
Painted with red dye and gold paint with a fine attention to detail. Late 19th century. In working order. There are two breaks in the main pointer/holding stick, but this does not detract or inhibit movement of the puppet.
Puppet measures 20” from top to bottom. Measures 28” from top of puppet head to bottom of main holding stick.
The puppet itself appears to be made from animal hide.
