Usually when I'm planning for a styled shoot, it's a photo or an item that I fall in love with that gives me the theme or the direction for what i'm trying to create. I found these lovely peachy orange roses at Trader Joes and bought them as the floral inspiration for the tablescape. This beautiful color would look gorgeous with a bunch of different styles or colors, and in fact I was originally looking for a deep saturated hue of teal to use with these.
But last week as I was dreamily walking through the abundance of inspiration in Homegoods... cue two hour time warp of gazing and wandering.... I came upon some wonderfully rich orange velvet curtains. The color is a deep tangerine with rust undertones, the color is pure magic in person. With these beauties as the inspiration, I knew I wanted to stick with shades of orange mixed with gold pieces.
Almost everything you see in this post came from Homegoods, they do such a beautiful job of curating several different styles for the holidays, and I love that they are starting to add some bohemian pieces this year as well.
I hope you are inspired to create something, Happy Thanksgiving!
